Left Hand is one of the unspoken heroes in the world of menswear, championing the idea of functional and innovative materials within their garments. This is predominantly down to the influence of Left Hand founder Massimo Osti, the very same man responsible for Stone Island and CP Company. It was at Left Hand that Osti had the opportunity to experiment with his now famous garment dying techniques and creation of fabrics inspired by military gear. In 2020 the brand changed ownership and was given a new lease of life, working under the creative direction of acclaimed contemporary designer Christopher Raeburn – someone who also takes a lot of inspiration from militaria.

The field jacket is synonymous with military wear and has been a mainstay in the menswear space for decades. This particular model takes reference from the Swiss M70 which is based on versatility in a number of environments and altitudes. With a packable hood, multi-pockets for optimum storage with a laminated membrane for protection against the rain, this piece is equipped for the outdoors while maintaining that classic military aesthetic. Adjustable elements can be found on the waist and the cuffs of the jacket to manipulate the shape to your liking.
